Finally, the Music of 2006
Dance, Dance- Fall Out Boy
What does this song mean to me? It's youthful, it's rockin', it makes my head
bop, the words are sung fast and furious. It's one of the best tracks from
the band's "From Under the Cork tree album". And, damn, they even have a great
video to go with it. What more to ask for? Don't bother categorising this mish-mash of punk rock and pop. If you listen to it many times, it may sound abit Maroon 5-ish. Well, so what? Go ahead music makers- copy imitate, But please, do innovate. That's your job and we love you for it.
Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol
Deeply brooding song of the year. Listen during rainfall at nighttime. This
song came towards the end of the year, so it's a great Christmas-ey song for
say, snow. Dreamy is another way I'd use to describe this one.
Be Without You- Mary J Blige
Mary J is nominated for a gazillion Grammys this year. Mostly because of the
popularity and sublimity of this track.
Call Me When You're Sober- Evanescence
Sexy Back / My Love- Justin Timberlake
London Bridge/ Fergalicious
Hips Don't Lie- Shakira Shakira! (this song was also NO.1 on Twisties International Top 100 of 2006, which was broadcast on Hitz.fm on New Year's Eve)
