Really Hot Actresses (And we're not talking about their looks)
I previously posted an "Actors Who Kick Ass" list, which, thinking back, left out Mark Ruffalo. (How could I?) But really my dears, the list of good actors is too long to mention in a single blog. If that's the case, then I should've mentioned James Franco, Viggo Mertensen and Denzel Washington. BUT, moving on... These are the ladies. So Hollywood, eat your heart out cause these ladies are here to stay, baby!
REALLY HOT ACTRESSES:
Laura Linney
She was the confused/intelligent/witty single mother in 2001's 'You Can Count on Me'. She was the tough, no-nonsense wife to Sean Penn in 2003's 'Mystic River'; and she played the neurotic single gal who got the hot graphic designer in 2004's 'Love, Actually'. But the main attarction of Miss Linney is her strong jaw bones. OK, her acting skills really fit into those jaw bones, making her roles so believable, it's scary but delightful at the same time. One of those actors I'd just buy a DVD just because she stars in it.
Lindsay Lohan
One of the new kids on the block in this list. Her star turn was when she played the social retard-turned-queen bee in 'Mean Girls' last year. The role re-affrimed her status as a tabloid staple, joining the ranks of other singers/actresses her age (i.e Hillary Duff, Britney Spears). But no one could deny that sparkle in her eye when she is on screen. It is refreshing, at times a tad too TV-drama-ish, something like out of Party of Five, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and other teen dramas. But the potential is there, if only she start fucking the right film producers. (just kidding)
Julia Roberts
OK, OK, so what haven't we heard about Miss Mega-watt smile? Sure she needs no sympathy in the money department, she already demands at least US$20 million per picture. She's won that Oscar which had been elusive to her for years despite her phenomenal box-office success. The best thing about Julia now is that she's good at playing just about anything now. And you have to thank Steven Soderberg and that wretched Oscar for that. Since winning for 'Erin Brockovich' she has become more comfortable in her own acting skin, playing a varied potpourri of roles but always bringing in that distinctive Julia Roberts X-factor in the character. Which is really what acting is all about---- playing a role by sourcing that character from deep within you. After all we are a million different people everyday.
Sarah Polley
She was featured in msn.com's "Most Underrated Actresses in Hollywood" list. This ball of fire can go from sweet and demure to ferocious and sexy, evident in films such as 'My Life Without Me' and 'Go'. So what is it about this Canadian belle that's so interesting? Looks, got it. Not your conventional babe looks, but enough to make people pay attention. Acting skill, aplenty. I guess it's the subtle moves you get from her on screen. And that my friend, is hot enough for me!
